Beats 360 Headphones Brings a Clever Customizable Design

October 6, 2026 6 Min Read

Beats 360 Headphones

Beats has introduced the Beats 360 Headphones, a new pair of over-ear wireless headphones designed to be more customizable than the company’s previous models. Instead of treating the ear cushions and headband as permanent parts of the headphone, Beats 360 lets users swap both cushion types and colours.

The new headphones are positioned as an all-day audio product that can move between commuting, working, travelling and workouts. They combine interchangeable cushions with active noise cancellation, high-fidelity sound, spatial audio and an IPX4 sweat and water resistance rating.

In India, the Beats 360 headphones is priced at ₹42,900 and is available in Black, Cloud, Pink and Sky colour options.

What Makes Beats 360 Different?

The biggest change is the headphone’s modular cushion system.

Beats 360 is the company’s first over-ear headphone with interchangeable ear and headband cushions. The headphones come with colour-matched Performance Knit cushions, while separate cushion kits can be purchased for users who want a different material or colour.

This makes the design more practical for different situations. Performance Knit cushions are designed to feel soft and breathable, while the optional UltraPlush cushions provide a smoother feel. Users can therefore change the cushions depending on their preference rather than replacing the entire headphone.

The approach also gives Beats 360 a more personal look. The headphone itself can remain the same while the cushion set changes its appearance.

Beats 360 Price and Availability in India

The Beats 360 costs ₹42,900 in India. The headphone is available in four colour combinations:

  • Black with Black Performance Knit Cushions
  • Cloud with Cloud Performance Knit Cushions
  • Pink with Pink Performance Knit Cushions
  • Sky with Sky Performance Knit Cushions

Additional Beats 360 cushion kits are available separately. Apple’s India store currently lists the headphone at ₹42,900, while the official Beats India store also lists the same price.

The package includes the headphones with Performance Knit cushions and a woven ripstop carrying case.

High-Fidelity Sound With Advanced ANC

Beats is also making audio quality a major part of the Beats 360 experience.

The headphones use a custom acoustic platform designed to deliver strong bass, detailed sound and low distortion. Beats describes this as its most advanced acoustic performance to date.

The Beats 360 headphones also features the company’s most advanced Active Noise Cancelling system, with Beats claiming up to 1.75 times more total noise cancellation than the Beats Studio Pro. ANC adapts to the surrounding environment and the headphone’s fit to help reduce unwanted background noise.

That makes the headphones particularly suited to environments such as public transport, offices and busy streets, where external noise can interfere with listening.

Users can switch between listening modes using the dedicated button on the left earcup.

Personalized Spatial Audio

Beats 360 supports Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking, bringing a more immersive sound experience to compatible content.

The feature can create a wider, more surround-like presentation rather than keeping audio fixed directly between the two earcups. Dynamic head tracking adjusts the perceived position of the sound as the listener moves their head.

On compatible Apple devices and supported content, users can also create a personalized profile using an iPhone with a TrueDepth camera.

The feature requires compatible hardware, software and supported content, so not every listening experience will use Spatial Audio.

Up to 32 Hours of Battery Life

Battery life is another important part of the Beats 360 headphones package.

Beats claims up to 32 hours of listening time, while the headphones are designed to provide extended playback even with Active Noise Cancellation enabled.

Actual battery life will depend on settings, listening volume and other usage conditions.

The headphones use USB-C for charging and are designed for everyday portability. Their fold-flat construction also makes them easier to store and carry when travelling.

Built for Workouts Too

The Beats 360 is not limited to indoor or office use.

It is the first Beats over-ear headphone to feature IPX4 sweat and water resistance. This means the headphones are designed to handle sweat and light water exposure under controlled testing conditions. Beats specifically positions the product for training as well as commuting, working and travelling.

However, IPX4 does not mean the headphones are waterproof. The resistance can also decrease with normal wear, and Beats advises users not to charge the headphones while they are wet.

The interchangeable cushion system is particularly useful here. Users can keep another cushion kit available and swap it after a workout or whenever they want a different feel.

Comfortable Over-Ear Design

The Beats 360 headphones uses an over-ear design with memory-foam ear cushions engineered to form a seal around the ears.

The Beats 360 headphones measure 165.5mm wide, 87.1mm deep and 191.3mm high, with a listed weight of approximately 294.5 grams.

Controls are positioned directly on the earcups rather than requiring users to rely entirely on a phone.

The right earcup includes volume controls and a multifunction button for music and calls. The left earcup houses the power button and listening-mode button.

This keeps basic controls accessible while travelling or exercising.

Works With Apple and Android

Although Beats is owned by Apple, the Beats 360 headphones is not restricted to iPhone users.

The headphones support both Apple and Android devices. Apple users get features such as one-touch pairing and Siri integration, while Android users can use the Beats app for setup and software-related features.

That cross-platform approach makes the Beats 360 headphones a more flexible option for households where people use different smartphone platforms.

Clear Calls With AI-Assisted Processing

Beats has also focused on call quality.

The Beats 360 headphones uses an AI-trained algorithm and beam-forming microphone system designed to filter background noise and improve voice clarity during calls.

This is useful for people who regularly switch between music, video meetings and phone calls without removing their headphones.

The headphones also support voice-assistant controls, including Siri on compatible Apple devices and Android voice-assistant functionality.

Is the Beats 360 Worth Considering?

The Beats 360 headphones is an interesting addition to the premium wireless headphone market because it is not relying on just sound quality or ANC to stand out.

Its interchangeable ear and headband cushions give the product a genuinely different identity. Users can change the material and appearance without buying another pair of headphones.

The combination of advanced ANC, Personalized Spatial Audio, 32-hour battery life and IPX4 resistance also makes it suitable for a wide range of everyday situations.

At ₹42,900, however, it sits firmly in the premium headphone category. Buyers should therefore consider whether the customizable design and Beats ecosystem are more valuable to them than the features offered by competing over-ear models.

For people who want a headphone that can adapt between everyday listening and workouts while maintaining a distinctive design, the Beats 360 headphones offers a compelling package.
