200MP Main Camera Is the Biggest Highlight

The Moto G Max 5G features a 200MP Ultra-Res primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization. Motorola says the camera uses Ultra Pixel technology to combine 16 pixels into one larger pixel, producing an effective 12.5MP image while improving light sensitivity. Motorola

The main camera also supports features such as Night Vision, Portrait mode, Smile Capture and 2x lossless zoom, according to Motorola’s Brazil product page.

An 8MP ultra-wide camera sits alongside the primary sensor, while the front camera has a 32MP sensor. Motorola says the selfie camera supports features including AI Portrait mode and group-focused shooting. Motorola

For video, the front camera can record at up to 2K resolution at 30fps, while the phone also supports dual video capture and slow-motion modes. Motorola

6.8-Inch 1.5K AMOLED Display

The Moto G Max 5G comes with a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display featuring a 1.5K Super HD resolution of 1272 × 2772 pixels.

The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which is designed to make scrolling, app switching and supported games appear smoother. Motorola also says the refresh rate can adjust depending on the content being displayed to help manage power consumption. Motorola

Another major feature is brightness. Motorola advertises up to 5,000 nits, although the company notes that the amount available to users can vary depending on apps, video content, software and other factors. Motorola

The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Performance

The global Moto G Max 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Motorola positions the configuration for everyday multitasking, gaming and regular smartphone applications. Motorola

The phone also supports Smart RAM Boost, which can use part of the internal storage as virtual memory. Motorola says the 8GB physical RAM model can receive up to 16GB of additional virtual RAM, although this should not be confused with actual physical RAM. Motorola

The storage uses UFS 2.2, while Motorola also provides microSD expansion support on the device. Motorola

5,200mAh Battery With TurboPower Charging

The Moto G Max 5G has a 5,200mAh battery. Motorola says the phone can deliver up to 35 hours of battery life under its specified testing conditions. Real-world battery life naturally depends on network conditions, display settings, apps and usage patterns. Motorola

The phone supports TurboPower 33W charging. Motorola’s official notes specify that the device itself supports charging at up to 30W, while a TurboPower 33W or higher charger is required to reach the maximum supported charging rate. Charger availability can vary by market. Motorola

Android 16 and Motorola Features

The Moto G Max 5G ships with Android 16 and Motorola’s software interface. Motorola

The phone includes features such as Circle to Search, Smart Water Touch 2.0 and several Google Photos editing tools. Smart Water Touch is designed to improve screen responsiveness when the display has some moisture on it. Motorola

Motorola also includes features such as Google Gemini and Smart Connect, although availability can depend on region, language, compatible devices and software. Motorola

IP66, IP68 and IP69 Protection

Durability is another major part of the Moto G Max 5G’s design.

Motorola lists IP66, IP68 and IP69 protection, with laboratory testing covering dust resistance, water jets and freshwater immersion. The company says the phone can withstand freshwater immersion of up to 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes under the specified testing conditions. Motorola

The smartphone also carries MIL-STD-810H testing, covering multiple controlled laboratory procedures for physical and environmental conditions. Motorola specifically notes that these tests do not guarantee future performance under the same conditions and that such testing does not make the phone indestructible.
