iQOO Pad Ultra Launched With 165Hz OLED Display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and 9,020mAh Battery
iQOO has officially launched the iQOO Pad Ultra in China, bringing flagship-level hardware to a compact tablet designed heavily around gaming and performance.
The new tablet combines an 8.8-inch 165Hz OLED display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, iQOO’s dedicated Q4 gaming chip, active cooling with a built-in fan and a 9,020mAh battery with 66W charging.
Despite its performance-focused hardware, the tablet measures just 5.74mm at its thinnest point and weighs 298 grams. It also gets up to 16GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, Wi-Fi 7 and OriginOS 7 HD based on Android 17.
The iQOO Pad Ultra has been launched in China in Starry Silver and Ender Black. Its standard pricing starts at CNY 6,499, although the first-sale price for the base model is reported at CNY 5,999.
8.8-Inch OLED Display With 165Hz Refresh Rate
The iQOO Pad Ultra is built around a compact 8.8-inch OLED display with a 2304 × 1440 resolution.
The panel supports a 165Hz refresh rate, making it particularly suited to fast-paced games where smoother motion can make a noticeable difference. iQOO also lists a response time below 1ms and up to 5,000Hz instantaneous touch sampling for gaming scenarios.
Brightness is another standout specification. The display can reach up to 4,500 nits of local peak brightness, while its high-brightness mode reaches 1,600 nits.
The screen uses a 16:10 aspect ratio and has extremely narrow 2.65mm bezels, resulting in a reported 93.3% screen-to-body ratio.
For colour reproduction, the panel supports HDR10+ and covers the DCI-P3 colour space. iQOO has also included multiple dimming technologies aimed at reducing eye strain during extended use.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 Powers the Tablet
At the centre of the iQOO Pad Ultra is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 mobile platform.
The chipset is built using a 2nm process and has CPU speeds reaching up to 5.0GHz. It is paired with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage.
The tablet is available with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage, giving the highest-end version plenty of room for large games, applications and media files.
iQOO is also using its own Q4 gaming chip alongside the main processor. The additional chip is designed to support gaming-focused features such as frame interpolation and graphics processing, with iQOO targeting smoother gameplay at high frame rates.
Built-In Active Cooling Fan
One of the most unusual features of the iQOO Pad Ultra is that it has an active cooling fan built directly into the tablet.
The cooling system uses a 30 × 30 × 3.5mm fan capable of producing up to 0.94 CFM of airflow. It works alongside a dual-layer vapour-chamber system and a larger heat-dissipation structure covering more than 23,000mm².
The system can automatically adjust its cooling behaviour according to the workload, with different modes available for noise and performance.
iQOO has also placed air-intake and exhaust openings around the tablet to improve airflow through the chassis.
This approach is aimed at maintaining performance during longer gaming sessions, when a powerful chipset would otherwise generate significant heat inside such a thin device.
9,020mAh Battery With 66W Charging
The iQOO Pad Ultra packs a 9,020mAh battery, giving the compact tablet substantial battery capacity for its size.
It supports 66W wired fast charging through its USB-C port. The tablet also includes bypass charging, a feature designed for gaming scenarios where power can be supplied directly to the device instead of repeatedly cycling the battery during extended gameplay.
That can be useful for users who keep the tablet connected to a charger while gaming for long periods.
However, iQOO has not provided a single standard battery-life figure that represents every usage scenario. Gaming, display brightness, refresh rate and performance settings can all have a major impact on actual endurance.
Gaming Controls and Haptic Features
The Pad Ultra is designed as a gaming-focused tablet rather than simply a smaller entertainment tablet.
It features dual X-axis linear motors that provide 4D gaming vibration in supported games. iQOO says the system is compatible with 15 mainstream titles.
The tablet also has a high-sensitivity gyroscope with sampling rates reaching 500Hz, which can be useful for motion-based controls in compatible games.
iQOO is additionally offering gaming accessories, including stretchable gamepad attachments designed to turn the tablet into a more conventional handheld-style gaming setup.
PC Game Emulation and Steam Support
One of the more unusual software features is support for a PC game emulator.
According to the launch information, the tablet can allow users to sign in with a Steam account and run compatible PC titles locally through the emulator. iQOO has also highlighted support for cloud gaming through Tencent START.
However, the company has not published a comprehensive list of supported PC games or independent performance benchmarks.
Therefore, the Steam and PC-gaming capability should not be interpreted as meaning that every Windows PC game will run natively or at the same performance level as it would on a gaming PC.
Up to 16GB RAM and 1TB Storage
The iQOO Pad Ultra comes in four memory and storage configurations:
| Variant | RAM | Storage | China Price |
| Base | 12GB | 256GB | CNY 6,499 |
| Mid | 16GB | 256GB | CNY 7,199 |
| High | 16GB | 512GB | CNY 7,999 |
| Top | 16GB | 1TB | CNY 8,999 |
The base model has a reported first-sale price of CNY 5,999, while the standard listed starting price is CNY 6,499.
The use of UFS 4.1 storage should also help with loading large applications and games.
13MP Rear Camera and 8MP Front Camera
Photography is clearly not the main focus of the Pad Ultra, but iQOO has still included cameras on both sides.
The rear camera uses a 13MP sensor, while the front-facing camera has an 8MP sensor.
The front camera is integrated into the display area and can be used for video calls and other basic camera tasks.
For a gaming tablet, this configuration is more about providing the necessary functionality than competing with camera-focused smartphones.
Android 17 With OriginOS 7 HD
The iQOO Pad Ultra runs Android 17 with OriginOS 7 HD.
The tablet software includes several features aimed at both productivity and gaming. iQOO’s software supports multiple application windows, including up to five apps displayed simultaneously.
It also includes Atomic Workbench, storage compression technology and cross-device functions that allow users to share files and certain capabilities between compatible devices.
The storage compression feature can reportedly increase usable storage efficiency by up to 30% under supported conditions.
The tablet can also work as an extended display for a computer, adding some productivity functionality beyond gaming.
Wi-Fi 7 and USB 3.2 Connectivity
For wireless connectivity, the Pad Ultra supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
The tablet uses a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port with display-output support, allowing it to connect to compatible external displays and accessories.
Audio comes through a symmetrical dual-speaker setup, while the tablet also includes multiple sensors and gaming-oriented audio enhancements.
There is no cellular connectivity listed for the China model, meaning the Pad Ultra is positioned primarily as a Wi-Fi tablet.
Thin Design With RGB Lighting
Despite housing an active cooling fan and a large battery, the Pad Ultra measures only 5.74mm at its thinnest point.
It weighs around 298 grams, making it considerably more portable than larger productivity-focused tablets.
The rear camera area also incorporates RGB lighting with six available lighting effects, giving the tablet a more gaming-oriented visual identity.
The tablet is available in Starry Silver and Ender Black.

iQOO Pad Ultra Price and Availability
The iQOO Pad Ultra has been launched in China, with the base 12GB + 256GB model officially priced at CNY 6,499. The other variants go up to CNY 8,999 for the 16GB + 1TB version.
Reports differ on the first-sale timing, with multiple launch reports listing October 15, 2026 as the standard release date. One report lists October 5, so the October 15 date is the safer figure to use for the broader launch schedule until iQOO’s storefront information is clearer.
There is currently no officially confirmed India launch date or India price for the iQOO Pad Ultra. Some Indian price listings are based on expectations rather than an announced local launch, so they should not be treated as official pricing.
What Makes the iQOO Pad Ultra Different?
The iQOO Pad Ultra is unusual because it combines specifications normally associated with gaming phones and compact tablets.
The 165Hz OLED display, flagship 2nm Snapdragon processor, dedicated Q4 gaming chip and active cooling fan all point toward sustained gaming performance.
At the same time, the 9,020mAh battery, 298-gram weight and 5.74mm profile keep the device relatively portable.
The built-in cooling fan may ultimately be the feature that most clearly separates the Pad Ultra from conventional tablets. Instead of relying entirely on passive cooling, iQOO has designed the tablet to actively move air through the chassis when workloads become demanding.
Final Takeaway
The iQOO Pad Ultra is a compact Android tablet that puts gaming performance at the centre of its design.
Its combination of an 8.8-inch 165Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, Q4 gaming chip, active cooling fan, 9,020mAh battery and up to 16GB RAM with 1TB storage gives it a hardware profile aimed at users who want flagship performance in a smaller tablet.
The addition of PC game emulation, 500Hz touch response, dual X-axis motors and bypass charging further strengthens its gaming focus.
For now, however, the Pad Ultra remains a China-market launch. iQOO has not confirmed an India or wider international release, so prospective buyers outside China will need to wait for official regional announcements.
