Samsung Galaxy F08, Galaxy M08 Announced in India

October 1, 2026 6 Min Read

Samsung Galaxy F08, Galaxy M08

Samsung has expanded its affordable smartphone lineup in India with the Galaxy F08 and Galaxy M08. Both phones have been listed on Samsung India’s website, bringing a 6.7-inch display, a 6,000mAh battery and a MediaTek Helio G99+ processor to the company’s budget range.

The two smartphones are closely matched in terms of hardware. Both come with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, a 50-megapixel primary camera and Android 17 out of the box. Samsung is also promising six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates, which will give the phones unusually long software support for this segment.

Samsung has not revealed the Indian prices or confirmed the exact sales date yet. Both models are currently shown as “Coming Soon” on Samsung India’s website.

6.7-Inch 120Hz Display

The Galaxy F08 and Galaxy M08 feature a 6.7-inch HD+ PLS LCD with a 720 × 1600-pixel resolution.

The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling, animations and supported games feel smoother than a conventional 60Hz panel.

Both phones use a waterdrop-style notch for the front camera. The display specifications are otherwise identical between the two models based on the currently available information.

For an entry-level phone, the combination of a large screen and 120Hz refresh rate is one of the more notable features of the new models.

MediaTek Helio G99+ Processor

Samsung has equipped both smartphones with the MediaTek Helio G99+ chipset.

The processor is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Users can also expand the storage using a microSD card, with support for cards of up to 2TB.

The hardware is aimed at everyday smartphone tasks rather than demanding flagship-level workloads. Typical use cases include social media, messaging, streaming, web browsing and casual gaming.

Samsung has also retained a hybrid SIM slot, allowing users to configure the phone according to their connectivity and storage requirements.

6,000mAh Battery With 25W Charging

Battery capacity is one of the biggest upgrades in the new Galaxy F08 and Galaxy M08.

Both phones feature a 6,000mAh battery, which is larger than the 5,000mAh batteries found on their Galaxy F07 and M07 predecessors.

The phones support 25W wired fast charging.

However, Samsung does not include a charger in the retail box, meaning buyers will need to use an existing compatible adapter or purchase one separately.

The combination of a large battery and a relatively modest HD+ display should make battery endurance an important part of the phones’ appeal, although actual runtime will vary depending on usage.

50MP Main Camera

For photography, both phones feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera accompanied by a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.

The front camera uses an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls. Video recording is supported at up to Full HD resolution at 30fps.

The camera setup is clearly designed for basic everyday photography rather than advanced imaging.

Samsung has also included features such as Portrait mode, Night mode, Panorama and other standard camera options.

Android 17 and Six Years of Updates

Software support is one of the more significant features of the Galaxy F08 and Galaxy M08.

Both phones ship with Android 17 and Samsung’s One UI. Samsung is promising six major Android OS upgrades along with six years of security updates.

If Samsung follows through with this commitment, the phones could remain supported well into the early 2030s.

The devices also include several Samsung software features, including Circle to Search, Quick Share and Knox Vault.

Knox Vault adds a dedicated hardware-backed security layer for protecting sensitive information such as authentication data.

IP64 Rating and Other Features

Samsung has given both phones an IP64 rating.

This provides protection against dust and resistance to water splashes, although it does not make the phones waterproof.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C connectivity. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3, while both phones support dual-SIM 4G networks.

The decision to retain a 3.5mm headphone jack could also appeal to users who prefer wired earphones or headphones.

Galaxy F08 vs Galaxy M08

There is very little separating the Galaxy F08 and Galaxy M08 based on the specifications currently published.

Both phones have the same 6.7-inch 120Hz display, Helio G99+ processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 50MP rear camera, 8MP selfie camera and 6,000mAh battery.

The two models primarily belong to different Samsung series and sales channels. Samsung’s Galaxy F phones have traditionally been associated more closely with online-focused distribution in India, while Galaxy M models have their own positioning within Samsung’s budget lineup.

The final pricing could therefore become an important factor in distinguishing the two.

Samsung Galaxy F08 and M08 Price in India

Samsung has not announced the prices of the Galaxy F08 and Galaxy M08 yet.

Both smartphones are currently listed on Samsung India’s website as “Coming Soon.” The company has also not confirmed the exact date on which they will go on sale.

Some third-party listings may already show estimated or unofficial prices, but those figures should not be treated as Samsung’s official pricing.

The final price will be important because the two phones are aimed at the highly competitive budget segment.

What Stands Out About the New Galaxy Phones?

The Galaxy F08 and Galaxy M08 are not trying to compete through flagship-level hardware. Instead, Samsung has focused on a few practical areas.

The 6,000mAh battery gives both phones a larger power reserve than their predecessors, while the 120Hz display brings a smoother refresh rate to the budget segment.

Long-term software support is another major point. Six Android upgrades and six years of security updates could give these affordable phones a considerably longer supported lifespan than many competing budget devices.

The IP64 rating, headphone jack and expandable storage also add features that aren’t always guaranteed in this price category.

Final Takeaway

The Samsung Galaxy F08 and Galaxy M08 bring a familiar budget-phone formula with a few meaningful upgrades.

Both smartphones feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz display, Helio G99+ processor, 50MP camera and 6,000mAh battery, while Android 17 and Samsung’s six-year software support promise add a longer-term focus.

The biggest unanswered question is now the price.

Samsung has listed both phones in India, but their official prices and sale dates are still pending. Once those details are announced, it will become easier to understand exactly where the Galaxy F08 and Galaxy M08 sit within Samsung’s budget lineup.
